(KLZA)-- A Richardson County jury has found a Craig, Missouri man not guilty of three felony charges and guilty on a misdemeanor charge in connection with a shooting in the Dawson area last October.
48-year-old Joseph Senn Jr. was found not guilty Tuesday of felony counts of attempted murder in the 2nd degree; using a firearm to commit a felony; and terroristic threats. The jury did find Senn guilty on a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
The jury was selected Monday with the trial starting Tuesday morning. The jury deliberated about 4 hours before returning the verdict.
Senn was arrested in October of 2014 by the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office after officers were dispatched to a house near Dawson, owned by Buckley Auxier. Auxier and two other men at that location reported Senn had fired a handgun at Auxier.
Senn and 43-year-old Natalie Auxier were arrested just north of Falls City when the truck they were in was stopped by the Sheriff Randy Houser and Deputy Jeff Frederick. A concealed handgun was allegedly discovered in the truck.
Court documents allege Auxier told Senn to shoot one of the three men at the rural Dawson location.
Senn was facing 20 years to life in prison if convicted of the felony charges. Sentencing on the misdemeanor charge is scheduled for August 11. Senn if facing the possibility of a fine and up to a year incarceration. He was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
Natalie Auxier is scheduled for a jury trial beginning July 7th and is facing felony charges of conspiracy and being an accessory to a felony and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
