(KAIR)--A Holton man was killed and his passenger seriously injured Sunday afternoon in an Atchison County motorcycle crash
The Kansas Highway patrol says killed in the wreck was 72-year-old Wayne Edwin Dodd.
The Patrol says Dodd was northbound on U.S. Highway 159, about three miles north of Nortonville, when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the side of the road before striking a culvert. Dodd and his passenger, 55-year-old Holton resident Georgina Dodd, were ejected from the motorcycle.
Georgina Dodd was transported to Topeka's Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center with disabling injuries.
The Patrol says neither occupant was wearing a helmet.
The exact time the wreck occurred has not yet been determined.
