(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska Commissioners met last week with Laura Osborne, Program Director of the Four County Juvenile Service Program. She presented the organization’s plan for July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018 for Richardson, Nemaha, Johnson and Pawnee counties. The Board approved a letter of support for the three-year plan as developed.
Board members approved posting notice of the District 1 Road Department vacant foreman’s position, and voted to declare a 1996 John Deer excavator as surplus equipment, authorizing the county clerk to advertise for sealed bids to be opened July 1.
Sheriff Brent Lottman was authorized to negotiate for a tract of land to be used for a communications tower site. Commissioners also voted not to purchase an additional $2-million liability policy form NIRMA for three county owned dams.
Quotes were received for a new HVAC system for the District 1 Count Barn with the quote from Auburn Plumbing & Heating for a 100,000 BTU Reznor Radiant Tube/Heater in an amount of $2,530 approved.
