(KNZA)--A May 28th preliminary hearing has been set for a Sabetha man accused of child sex crimes.
25-year-old Daniel Thompson made his first appearance in a Jackson County Courtroom Thursday on two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says Thompson appeared by video conference and an attorney was appointed to represent him.
Thompson was arrested last Friday after the Jackson County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant on his residence following an investigation focused on child pornography and the exploitation of a 16-year-old Jackson County child.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
