(KMZA)--A free lunch program for school aged children is planned in Seneca.
The program sponsored by the Harvesters Community Food Network, Catholic Charities and U.S. Department of Agriculture will kick off June 1st at the Seneca City Park.
Program spokeswoman Margie Shinn says the free lunches will be provided Monday through Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 during the months of June and July for children 18 and under. Shinn says she feels the program is needed.
More information on the program can be obtained by calling Shinn at 336-3325.
The Seneca City Council Wednesday evening gave the group permission to use one of the shelter houses at the park for the program.
