(KNZA)--A Kansas City, Kansas man, accused of leading local authorities on a multi-county pursuit in October of 2013 that ended near Sabetha, is indicted on related charges.
According to the office of U.S. Attorney Barry Grisson, 25-year-old John Michael Devosha is now charged with two counts of carjacking, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of using a firearm during a carjacking.
The car Devosha is accused of driving during the pursuit along U.S. Highway 75 was allegedly stolen in Kansas City, Kansas, leading to the carjacking accusation.
At that time, he was wanted by both federal authorities and numerous Kansas law enforcement agencies for crimes including weapons and drugs.
Devosha was already in federal custody when the latest charges were filed this week.
