(KAIR)--A cell phone left at the scene of a vehicle burglary led to the arrest of an Atchison man Thursday.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the burglary took place sometime Wednesday night from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Parallel. A window had been broken and medication and money were removed.
Inside the vehicle, police say they found a cell phone that did not belong to the owner, and were able to trace that cell phone to 23-year-old Donovan Templeton.
Templeton was arrested later Thursday and booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including criminal damage to property, burglary, and theft. No bond has been set.
