Pawnee City School Board Approves New Hires

(KLZA)-- The Pawnee City School Board spent the majority of their time on personnel matters Monday night. 

The Board accepted the resignation of Social Studies teacher and Head Football Coach Mitchell Shepherd. Shepherd has accepted a job teacher at Marysville, Kansas. 

The Board approved hiring Tim Kluck and Austin Barns to teach Social Studies.  Jordan Schaardt has been hired as an elementary teacher and Jeff Bacon who has served as technology coordinator for both Pawnee City and Lewiston has been hired as the full-time tech coordinator for the Pawnee City School District at a salary of $46,725. 

Pawnee City Board members also approved the purchase of a 59-passenger school bus at a cost of $80,644.
