(KNZA)--A new Sabetha Elementary School principal has been hired.
The Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education Monday evening approved the hiring of Jennifer Gatz for the position.
Superintendent Todd Evans says Gatz has worked for the St. Joseph, Missouri school district for the past three years, currently serving as an assistant principal. She has also filled the roles of instructional technology specialist, and instructional coach. Prior to that, Gates taught in the Doniphan West and Troy school districts.
Gatz will replace Matt Garber. Garber is moving to the Sabetha Middle School principal position to replace Tom Palmer who is retiring.
Gatz will begin work July 1st.
