Annual Animal Clinic Set in Falls City
05/07/2015

(KLZA)-- The annual animal clinic sponsored by the Falls City Police Department will be held Thursday, May 14 from 6 – 7 p-m at the Falls City Fire Department.

The clinic allows Falls City residents to get their animals’ shots and license at the same location. Shots will be given by the Animal Health Center staff and City animal licenses will be issued by Falls City Police Department staff.

City ordinance requires all dogs and cats within the city limits, six months of age or older to be licensed.  Licenses expire in May of each year.  Your pets must be current on their rabies vaccination certificate.  Male and spayed female licenses are $6 and un-spayed females are $11.  Delinquent licenses will be double in price.

The rabies vaccination will be $15 and the animal must be five months of age. Other vaccinations will also be available. The licenses and shots must be paid for separately.

Owners of American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, Bull Mastiff, Cane Corso, also known as Italian Mastiff, Canis Panthers, Presna Canario or any mix of these breeds, when applying for a license you must present written documentation the animal has been spayed or neutered.  You must also currently carry a minimum $100,000 liability insurance policy with premium payment sufficient to cover a minimum of one year of coverage.
