(KNZA)-- A Hiawatha man has pleaded no contest to two felony child sex charges, avoiding a jury trial that had been set for next month.
Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill says 43-year-old Lonnie Johansen entered the plea Monday afternoon to charges of electronic solicitation of a child born in 2002 and possession of child pornography.
District Judge John Weingart revoked Johansen’s bond following the plea and set sentencing for June 1st.
Hill says Johansen conviction on the electronic solicitation charge carries a presumptive prison sentence of 147-165 months and the child pornography conviction carries a presumptive prison sentence of between 31 and 34 months.
Johansen was arrested last October following an investigation by the Hiawatha Police Department.
