(KAIR)--A reconstruction project on U.S. Highway 73/K-7 in Leavenworth County, originally scheduled to resume Monday, has been pushed back to later in the week.
According to a release from the Kansas Department of Transportation, project contractor KOSS Construction will resume pavement reconstruction project on U.S. 73/K-7 from the north junction of Leavenworth County Road 14, south to Sixteenth Street on Wednesday, weather permitting.
The project involves pavement patching, and the addition of asphalt shoulders needed to construct the far north end part of the project. Work is scheduled to take place during daylight hours through May 8th.
There will be varying lane closures on the north end of U.S. 73/K-7 and Leavenworth County Road 14/ Santa Fe Trail. Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via flaggers during daylight working hours, Monday through Friday.
