(KAIR)--Motorists entering the city of Atchison will now be greeted with new signs.
City crews erected two new Welcome To Atchison signs Friday at all major highway entrances to the community.
The signs were authorized to be manufactured and installed by the City Commission last month at a cost of approximately $3,500. City Public Works and Utilities Director Justin Pregont says there will be several more similar wayfaring signs installed in several locations in the city including the Riverfront, downtown area, the Visitors Center, and the Sports Complex.
