(KAIR)--A preliminary hearing for a Leavenworth woman accused of check forgery has been continued.
31-year-old Amanda Warren appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning where her attorney requested the continuance
Judge Martin Asher set a status hearing date for May 11th.
Warren was arrested with her alleged accomplice, 51-year-old Topeka resident Lee Warren in December following an investigation by the Atchison Police Department. The couple allegedly manufactured false checks and false identifications to go with them. Investigators believe they passed the phoney checks in several Kansas cities including Ottawa, Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence, and Kansas City, as well as Buchanan County, Missouri.
