(KNZA)--A rural Netawaka man will stand trial on multiple sex-related charges involving a minor child.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 35-year-old Scott Buchheit was bound over Tuesday following his preliminary hearing on 11 felony counts contained in an amended complaint.
Miller says Buchheit entered a not guilty plea to the charges—including five counts of rape, two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, indecent solicitation of a child and theft.
Miller said a trial date will be scheduled during a motions hearing set for June 24th.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged sex offenses occurred between March 2008 and January 2015 involving a girl who is now 17.
Buchheit is also charged in the theft of a Polaris Ranger side-by-side UTV in February.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail, held on $300,000 bond.
