(KLZA)-- Following an executive session Monday night the Falls City Board of Education approved the compensation for the four District 56 Principals, with an average package increase of 1.86-percent.
Compensation for classified personnel for the 2015-16 school year was approved with a 2.54-percent increase.
The Board also approved an increase in the activity admission season passes for the 2015-16 school year. The price for a family pass will increase $20 to $150, an adult single pass will increase $10 to $65 and the student pass will increase $5 to $40.
The High School Administration proposed increasing the prices by $40 for the family pass, $15 for the adult pass and $10 for the student pass.
The proposed increase was due to the addition of baseball this spring. With 40 home activities in 2014-15 at the High School and not including any Middle School events, the estimated cost to attend a game on the family pass was $1, the adult pass $1.28 and the student pass 88-cents.
The addition of baseball has meant hiring umpires for eight contests, and paying ticket takers for the games.
