(KAIR)--The execution of a search warrant leads to the arrest of two Atchison residents on drug related charges.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the department has conducted an investigation focusing on a residence located in the 600 block of North Tenth Street. The investigation concluded just after 9:15 Tuesday night when a search warrant was executed at the home, resulting in numerous items of evidence being seized and the arrest of 26-year-old Earnest Crawford and 30-year-old Bresha Norris Harding.
Wilson adds that there were also three children under the age of ten present at the time the arrests took place.
Crawford and Norris Harding were booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and aggravated child endangerment.
Crawford is also facing charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance using a communication facility, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of stolen property.
The Atchison Police Department was assisted in the investigation by a federal task force comprised of local, state, and federal agents.
