$1,000 Awarded to Falls City Police Department
04/15/2015

(KLZA)-- The Falls City Police Department has received $1,000 form the Nebraska Pipeline Association.

Assistant Police Chief Jamie Baker and officers Travis Mitchell and Chuck DiGiacomo  attended a pipeline safety training course last fall. Fire departments and emergency responders along with law enforcement officials attended the training because of the many miles of pipeline underground.

The names of all the attendees were included in a drawing and Officer Mitchell’s name was drawn out.  The money goes to the department of the person who was drawn out and can be used for anything the department needs. Baker said the money would likely be used for training or equipment needs.
