(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners signed a non-binding engagement and disclosure letter with D.A. Davidsion & Company Tuesday to proceed with bond financing of the Jail / Law Enforcement Center at the former National Guard Armory on the west edge of Falls City.
Next week Commissioners will again consider a contract with AHRS Construction to do the project. A pre-construction conference will be held next Tuesday with representatives of AHRS and the architectural firm Prochaska & Associates.
The bid to purchase a new motor grader was awarded to Nebraska Machinery for a new 12M3 Caterpillar at a price of $228,920.
Commissioners also reviewed summons that were received in reference to lawsuits filed by former Jail Administrator David Clark and temporary, part-time jailer/dispatcher Julie Houser concerning the decisions rendered by Commissioners on grievances each had filed.
The Board also set a date for a surplus auction of county equipment for May 2nd at 9 a-m at the Armory grounds on the west edge of Falls City.
