(KLZA)-- John H. Morehead, longtime President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Richardson County Bank & Trust died Sunday at the age of 87.
Morehead was born in Falls City. Following graduation from the University of Nebraska with degrees in Law and International Law he became a special agent for the FBI.
Morehead first became associated with Richardson County Bank & Trust in 1958. He was elected President in 1962 and served until his retirement in 2011. Morehead was also involved in many civic activities and served many years as president of Downtown Modernization. Inc. an entity founded and funded by local business persons, dedicated to downtown retailing.
A private service for Morehead will be held at a later date.
The Dorr & Clark Funeral Home of Falls City is in charge of the arrangements.
