(KNZA)--A Hiawatha teen charged in connection with two Hiawatha business burglaries and an attempted burglary has waived his preliminary hearing.
Dalton Herwig was bound over to Brown County District Court Wednesday on nine counts—including three felonies and six misdemeanors. Arraignment was scheduled for May 4th.
Herwig is accused of breaking into Davies Oil and Nigus Liquor and attempting to break into Henry Liquor. Taken from Nigus Liquor were numerous bottles of liquor, beer and bags of ice. Taken from Davis Oil was several carton of cigarettes and food items.
Two juveniles are also charged in the case.
Herwig remains free on bond.
