(KNZA)--A Jackson County jury has convicted a Topeka man of six felonies in the beating and sexual assaults of a Holton woman in 2013, but aquitted him on two other felony counts.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says the jury found 36-year-old Filip Rosario guilty Wednesday afternnoon of two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, and one count each of rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and criminal threat.
The jury acquitted Rosario on a second count of rape and one count of attempted capital murder.
The jury returned the verdict following more than 2 hours of deliberation after a 2 1/2 day trial.
Sentencing was scheduled for May 15th.
Authorities say the crimes occurred over a period of several hours in December 2013 in Holton.
