(KAIR)--An Atchison woman, convicted on charges related to check theft, has been placed on probation.
24-year-old Cinnamon Cash was sentenced Monday in Atchison County District Court to one year in jail on four counts of theft by deception and one count of misdemeanor theft. However, the sentence was suspended, and she was placed on one year of supervised probation and ordered to play restitution to the two victims in the case.
Cash was arrested in late November of last year after a police investigation showed that she was involved in the theft of four personal checks from a residence. Four of the checks had been cashed at a local convenience story earlier that month.
