(KAIR)--An Effingham man, accused of sexual exploitation of a child, is facing an arson charge in connection with an unrelated case.
Atchison County Sheriff Jack Lauie says an investigation into a March 6th fire at a residence in the 700 block of Seabury Street in Effingham concluded that 32-year-old Glen Hewitt allegedly started the blaze.
Hewitt was arrested last Wednesday on the arson charge at the Atchison County Jail, where he has been incarcerated since March 6th, facing charges related to the possession of a sexually explicit picture of a teenage girl.
