(KAIR)--Dry conditions, coupled with strong winds, leads to the issuance of a burn ban for Atchison County.
The ban will remain in place until further notice, following the decision made by Atchison County officials.
In Doniphan County, officials have decided to extend the current burn ban for another week, with the ban to remain in effect through Monday, March 23rd.
A burn ban also remains in place, until further notice, in Brown County.
The bans coincide with the local Red Flag Warning issued by the National Weather Service for both Monday and Tuesday. Such warnings are issued when the weather conditions cause fire concerns.
