Conditions Point to a Cool and Wet Spring in Nebraska
03/06/2015

Spring arrives in just over two weeks but it is starting to appear that winter won't make a graceful exit.

University of Nebraska - Lincoln Extension State Climatologist Al Dutcher says spring-like weather will likely be delayed this year. Last December's El Nino pattern is falling apart and that likely will bring a change of weather conditions to Nebraska.

Dutcher says we can expect above normal precipitation for much of the state in March and April. He is also concerned about farmers getting into the fields this spring due to the colder soil temperatures and water soaked fields.
