(KNZA)--Primary elections will be held Tuesday in two Doniphan County communities to narrow the field of candidates for several races for the April 7th general election.
In Elwood, a field of four candidates seeking to be the city’s next mayor will be narrowed to two, and a field of eleven candidates vying for three open positions on the city council will be narrowed to six.
In Highland, a field of eight candidates seeking two open positions on the city council will be narrowed to four for the April general election.
The polls will be open Tuesday from 7 in the morning until 7 in the evening.
