(KNZA)--Prairie Hills USD 113 will hold community meetings in Sabetha and Wetmore next week to present district financial information.
The district is facing a projected budget shortfall of about $585,000 for the 2015-16 school year.
Superintendent Todd Evans, with the input of the district’s building principals, has complied a list of potential budget cuts totaling nearly $484,000 for the board of education’s consideration. No action has been taken on the recommendations yet.
A community meeting will be held at the Sabetha Middle School Monday evening at 7 and another at the Wetmore Academic Center Tuesday evening at 6:30. Both meetings are open to the public.
A similar meeting was held at the Axtell Public School earlier this month.
