(KAIR)--An Atchison man, wanted for an alleged probation violation, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on drug charges.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jesse Evans near the intersection of U.S. 59 Highway and Sixth Street just after 1:30. The officer was aware that Evans was wanted by Atchison Community Corrections for an alleged probation violation, and stopped the vehicle. Upon further investigation, drug paraphernalia and a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine was found in Evans' vehicle.
Evans was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
