(MSC News)--A 56-year-old man is in custody in connection with a Monday night shooting in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
KQ2-TV reports it happened in the parking lot of the North Belt Wal-Mart shortly after 8:00.
Authorities say a 29-year-old man was shot in the torso, and required hospitalized treatment for serious injuries.
The shooting is believed to have occurred after the two men got into an altercation.
Charges are pending against the suspect, whose name has not yet been made public.
