(MSC News)--$300-million is included in the Fiscal Year 2015 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill for construction of the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facilty in Manhattan.
Word of Friday's passage of the bill by the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee was released by Senator Jerry Moran.
The Kansas Senator says passage “solidifies Washington’s support for the construction of a modern, world-class facility.” It's planned to be built adjacent to Kansas State University.
The bill must now gain approval in the United States House; and, if approved, would then be considered by the full Senate.
