(KNZA)--Charges have been filed against a Topeka man accused of firing shots at motorists on U.S. 75 Highway in southern Jackson County on New Year's Eve.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 51-year-old Cory Huff made his first appearance in a Jackson County courtroom Monday on two counts of attempted intentional second-degree murder. Huff is also charged with discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle and reckless driving.
A preliminary hearing had originally been scheduled for Thursday morning, but was continued to February 12th at 2:30 p.m.
She says the incident was a random act of road rage. No injuries were reported.
Huff remains in the Jackson County Jail on $250,000 bond.
