(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has canceled a boil water advisory for Rural Water District #5 in Leavenworth County.
The order was issued Monday because of scheduled maintenance that disrupted water service, causing a loss of pressure. Failure to maintain adequate pressure could have resulted in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
Laboratory testing on samples collected from the district's water supply indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved
