(KNZA)--A truck driver from Iowa suffers disabling injuries when his semi ran off U.S. Highway 73 in Brown County and rolled over.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon, a mile east of K-20, when Galleon Lee Null, of Council Bluffs, was southbound on the highway. The truck and trailer left the roadway, entered the south ditch, and overturned.
Null was first taken to Horton Community Hospital but then transferred to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas
The Patrol says Null was not wearing a safety restraint.
Investigators remained on the scene into the evening, with the truck and trailer observed to have rolled well off the roadway into an adjacent field.
