(KLZA)-- Two meetings for the Falls City Council tonight. The current Mayor and Council will meet at 7 p-m. A report from Mayor Tim Hersh who will preside over his last meeting will be followed by the consent agenda including claims and the current council going SINE DIE.
To begin the second meeting the Oath of Office will be given to new Mayor Jerry Oliver, and newly elected Council members Don Ferguson in Ward I and John Vaughn in Ward III.
A new President and Acting President of the Council will be elected, followed by Mayoral appointments being confirmed.
An inter-local agreement addendum between the City and Southeast Region 9-1-1 will be discussed and the Council is expected to take action on the appointment of Jonathan Kirkendall as an officer for the Falls City Police Department.
Discussion and action on an employee manual and policy and procedures revisions is the final item on the agenda.
