(KAIR)--Atchison City Commissioner Jack Bower has been appointed by Governor Sam Brownback to serve as a public member on the state's Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board.
The Governor's office made the announcement Monday afternoon.
Bower received both his Bachelor’s degree and his MBA from Benedictine College and most recently served as an instructor at the college. He was appointed to the Commission in February 2012 to fill an unexpired term. He previously served as a City Commissioner from 2009-2011.
The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board determines which casino contract best maximizes revenue, encourages tourism, and otherwise serves the interests of Kansans. There are seven members on the board, with the governor appointing three.
