Mound City School Board Receives Updates on Building Projects

(KLZA)-- The Mound City School Board held a public hearing Wednesday evening to discuss the Capital Facilities Lease Financing through the Missouri Association of Rural Education for the building upgrade projects to be done at the school. 

Roger Adamson with the L.J. Hart company will work with the Mound City School District as a financing consultant. 

Dave Villines, construction manager for the project presented a number of plans for the project to the Board. Superintendent Ken Eaton  noted that the school is seeking bids on the retaining wall replacement portion of the project.  A pre-bid meeting will be held December 2nd with bids to be opened December 16th. 

In other business the Mound City School Board approved Laura Forehand serving as an Assistant Scholar Bowl Coach. 

The district is also working on details to prepare a celebration of 100 years of the Mound City School District. 

Board members met in executive session to discuss preliminary teacher evaluations.
