Atchison Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

(KAIR)--A Tuesday evening traffic stop in Atchison lands one man behind bars where he faces several drug related charges.

According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, an officer stopped a motorcycle driven by 40-year-old Atchison resident Robert Ford for speeding in the 700 block of Kearney just after 10:30. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered what appeared to be methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in Ford's possession.

Ford was booked into the Atchison County Jail on charges including possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, and driving while suspended.
