Law Enforcement Agreement Approved by SE Neb Board

(KLZA)-- The Nemaha County, Nebraska  Commissioners met Wednesday.  

Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement between the County, Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office and City of Auburn for the Sheriff’s office to provide law enforcement services to the City of Auburn.  The cost to the City of Auburn will increase from $283,000 to $306,000 due to increases in salaries, health insurance and other expenses.  The new agreement goes into effect January 1. 

Mark Mainelli with Manelli, Wagner & Associates met with the  Board to discuss projects on the One and Six Year road plan and the Duck and Buck Creek Projects in the county.  

A representative of Benefit Management met with Commissioners to discuss the employee’s health insurance coverage they can provide to the employees.

Commissioner discussed an application for a road entrance for Brian Shaw in the Brownville area.  The application was tabled until the District One Commissioner inspects the site.
