(KAIR)--Several Atchison businesses were recognized Wednesday during the 2014 Business Recognition Luncheon presented by the Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President Jacque Pregont says that the event is just a way to celebrate local businesses that are celebrating an anniversary, and each  plays an important role in the Atchison community, no matter how long they have been in operation.  She says that “We just want to appreciate them and let them know that we are happy they are here, and we are happy to work with them, and we want to work with them going forward to make it bigger and better all the time”.
