(KAIR)--An annual fund raising event presented by Saint Benedict Catholic Schools in Atchison is set to take place this weekend.
The Tenth annual Toy and Book sale will he held Saturday from 8:00am-12 noon, and Angela Humberg, one of the parents spearheading the event, says all items are in very good condition. All books are thoroughly inspected and books that are torn or have other marks are not sold. She adds that the toys are all arranged by age and reading levels.
Baby items, such as strollers, will also be available.
Humberg says the event is completely volunteer driven. Parents of the students and other volunteers from the community will have a hand in everything including getting the information out, going through the toys, and participating in the sale itself.
Money raised by this sale go towards needed items and projects for the school itself.
The sale will take place on the corner of 2nd Street and Division Streets at the SBCS Upper Commons area.
