(KMZA)--Charges have been filed in an August wreck in Marshall County that seriously injured four Frankfort teens.
The Marysville Advocate reports 18-year-old Casey Farrant has been charged in Marshall County District Court with driving under the influence of alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor, transporting an open container, texting while driving, failing to stop at a stop sign and a seat belt violation.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says Farrant was southbound on 18th Road in the early morning of August 17th in a pickup and failed to yield to an eastbound semi on U.S. 36 Highway, striking the trailer hauling frozen meat.
Farrant and three passengers in his pickup were taken by air ambulance to area hospitals.
The semi driver, from Beatrice, Nebraska, wasn’t injured.
