(KNZA)--No injuries following a trailer house fire on the Kickapoo reservation Saturday afternoon.
According to Horton Fire Chief Lamar Shoemaker, firefighters rushed to the scene shortly after 2:00, joined in the effort to battle the blaze by the Kickapoo Tribal Fire Department.
Shoemaker says the occupant of the trailer home is identified as Edwin Green, who was not at home when the blaze broke out.
The amount of damage is not immediately determined, and the cause of the fire remains unknown, as the investigation continues.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office, the Brown County Rescue Squad and the Kickapoo Tribal Police Department all provided assistance at the scene.
