Richardson County Commissioners Meet
10/24/2014

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners met with Shubert Village Board members Peggy Oliver and Gina Steele this week.  The Shubert Village Board is requesting the County assist in clearing snow from the village streets this winter.  No contractors have responded with bids to remove the snow.

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert said the County could do the work but said an interlocal agreement would need to be drafted and insurance coverage would need to be reviewed.  More discussion on the topic will take place next week.

During the Road and Bridge Department report Huppert informed the Board the asphaltic concrete overlay project on the Dustless Highway between 706 road and 709 Road would begin October 27th and take about 10 days to two weeks to complete.

Commissioners also approved a resolution changing the County’s contribution to employee’s medical reimbursement accounts from $650 to $500 beginning January 1, to comply with the regulations in The Affordable Care Act.
