(KLZA)-- A Falls City woman was transported to Community Medical Center in Falls City Thursday after her car collided with a grain truck at the intersection of Highway 67 and 715 Road northwest of Falls City shortly before noon. Her injuries were described as disabling.

28-year-old Christa Feighner was northbound on Highway 67 in a car.  38-year old Korey Schawang of Falls City was eastbound on 715 Road and crossing Highway 67 in a grain truck owned by Darren Eickhoff Farms.  Schawang, who was not injured, said he did not see the car operated by Feighner when he started across the highway.

The car collided with the truck just behind the cab and ruptured a fuel tank.

According to Sheriff Randy Houser the car was totaled.  There was moderate damage to the grain truck which was driven away.

The Falls City Volunteer Ambulance Squad and the Verdon Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.  The Fire Department was called out to wash down the highway where the impact occurred.
