(KNZA)--A rear-end collision on U.S. 24 Highway in Shawnee County Wednesday morning sent an Elwood man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Scott Edward Ingram Jr. was westbound when his car struck the rear of a Jeep that was stopped on the highway to make a left turn.
Ingram, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Topeka’s Stormont Vail Regional Health Center with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, a Manhattan woman, was not hurt.
The wreck was reported shortly before 9:30 east of Huxman Road.
