(KNZA)--A truck driver from Mayetta escapes injury after his semi is rear-ended while traveling in Johnson County Saturday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 65-year-old Charles Meyers was sitting on the right shoulder of the road, merging into the right lane of K-10, going eastbound.
It was then that a pick-up truck, eastbound in the right lane, ran into the back of Meyers' semi.
The driver of the pick-up, 59-year-old Kirk Keberlein, of Berryton, Kansas, suffered injuries, and was transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment.
The patrol says he was buckled up but Meyers was not.
The wreck happened around 9:30 Saturday morning.
