(KNZA)--A new preliminary hearing date has been set for a Wetmore man accused of lewd and lascivious behavior involving two children late last month in Hoyt.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says the hearing for 24-year-old Arthur Seematter was postponed Thursday to October 23rd and an attorney was appointed to represent him.
Seematter faces two felony counts of lewd and lascivious behavior.
He is accused of performing a lewd and lascivious act in front of two children less than 14 years of age near the Royal Valley High School on Saturday, September 27th. The children ran from the scene and reported the incident.
Seematter was arrested October 1st at his residence by law enforcement officers from Jackson and Nemaha Counties.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail on $25,000 bond.
