(KAIR)--A Falls City, Nebraska man has been sentenced to probation after attempting to pass a phony $20 bill during Atchison's Amelia Earhart Festival in July.
22-year-old Henry Wendtlandt appeared in Atchison County District Court Friday morning to learn his fate.
Judge Martin Asher gave Wendltandt an eight month suspended prison sentence, and sentenced him to eighteen months of supervised probation.
Wendtlandt had earlier pleaded guilty to one count of making false information. In exchange for the plea, one count of theft was dropped.
