(KNZA)--A single-vehicle wreck on a northwest Missouri highway Wednesday afternoon sent an Atchison, Kansas woman to the hospital.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Deborah Peak was eastbound on U.S. 59 Highway three miles west of Savannah when her car traveled off the south side of the highway. Peak returned to the roadway and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to go off the south side of the highway a second time. Her car traveled down an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Peak was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with moderate injuries.
